Care Levels

Whether requiring help with day-to-day activities while maintaining a degree of independence, or needing 24-hour nursing and personal care support, we aim to meet changing needs and keep our residents socially connected and active.

Low Care

Care for those who require some level of assistance to perform daily tasks. Most residents in Low Care are able to move and walk about on their own. Low Care focuses on personal care services (such as bathing, dressing and eating), accommodation, support services (such as cleaning, laundry and meals) and some allied health services such as physiotherapy. Nursing care can be given when required.

High Care

Care for those who are physically unable to care for themselves, whether through illness or behavioural problems. High Care provides 24-hour nursing and personal care support.

Secure Special Care

Dementia specific accommodation and care options provide extra safety for residents and their families. Targeted services and specialised staff support residents with early to advanced stages of dementia.

End Stage Comfort Care

A supportive environment for people living with a life-threatening and progressive illness, ensuring ongoing physical comfort, emotional wellbeing and family connection. Our qualified and compassionate staff enable quality of life by assisting with pain relief, management of symptoms, counselling, spiritual and psychological support.

A dedicated palliative care room includes facilities to accommodate family members who may wish to stay, day or night, with their loved one.

Respite Care

We know that caring for an aged and ill family member can be challenging, and caregivers do need occasional time off from this responsibility to recharge.
Respite Care provides short term support for people with a variety of care requirements. Your loved one will be well looked after by highly trained nursing and support staff in stylish accommodation and access to a range of quality services. Respite patients may choose to participate in a range of social activities.
Respite Care is available for up to 9 weeks per year, with a minimum two week stay, subject to room availability and ACAT approval.

LifeStyle & Allied Services

At all our Adventist Senior Living retirement communities, we encourage our residents to stay healthy, active and involved. That’s why we offer a range of services and activities carefully designed to accommodate individual needs, preferences and abilities.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care is central to our philosophy and practise of holistic care. Our Chaplain, team of volunteers and student counsellors offer appropriate spiritual care and a listening ear for people from all faiths and beliefs, supporting spiritual and cultural diversity through respect for individual values, confidentiality and acceptance.

Being with residents in their life journey allows our pastoral team to assist residents and their families in dealing with crises, in celebrating joys and in exploring the big issues of life and ageing.

Physiotherapy

Helping residents participate and continue to engage in everyday life is important to us. Our team of physiotherapists seek to maintain and optimise our residents’ ability to move and function through one-on-one and group exercises and activities, teamed with education and advice.

Whether offering advice on aids or equipment to facilitate mobility, or guiding family members on chairs or footwear, our physiotherapists work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, social workers, lifestyle staff and other care providers to plan the most appropriate solutions for individual resident needs.
